|Description:||The Walkway over the Hudson is a steel cantilever bridge spanning the Hudson River between Pough-keepsie, New York, on the east bank and Highland, New York, on the west bank. It is a pedestrian walkway and the longest foot-bridge in the world (6,768 feet—1.25 miles each way). The ex-plorers will caravan from the Port Jervis Library (departing at 8:00 am) or for those coming from other locations meet at the entrance located at 87 Haviland Road, Highland, NY 12528.
Following the walk, those who wish to complete the adventure will drive down river for lunch on the Newburgh Waterfront.
